Η Μαρία Ζωίδη είναι κάτοχος πτυχίου Επιστήμης Τροφίμων από το Γεωπονικό Πανεπιστήμιο Αθηνών και μεταπτυχιακού τίτλου στη Βιοοικονομία, Κυκλική Οικονομία και Βιώσιμη Ανάπτυξη από το Πανεπιστήμιο Πειραιά. Κατά τη διάρκεια της ακαδημαϊκής και επαγγελματικής της σταδιοδρομίας, έχει εργαστεί σε πολυάριθμες υποθέσεις που αφορούν βιώσιμες και κυκλικές εφαρμογές στον τομέα των τροφίμων, προσεγγίζοντάς τις από τη σκοπιά της βιοτεχνολογίας. Ως Διευθύντρια Έργων στη Zelus, εργάζεται σε έργα της ΕΕ που εστιάζουν σε ψηφιακά ενεργοποιημένες κυκλικές εφαρμογές.
