Henrik Hvid Jensen is the author of Circular Economy Opportunities and Pathways for Manufacturers – Manufacturing Renewed and a contributor to the World Economic Forum Agenda. He specializes in helping manufacturers transition to cleaner and circular business models in a financially viable and operationally robust way. Henrik’s work focuses on the intersection of circular economy, digital transformation, and business strategy. Through his research and practice, he demonstrates how digitization—spanning internal IT foundations, digital ecosystems, IoT, customer touchpoints, and advanced analytics including AI—enables manufacturers to unlock circular business opportunities while improving efficiency, resilience, and competitiveness. He is the creator of the Sustainable Manufacturing Intelligence Framework (SMIF), which provides a structured, actionable approach for integrating digital capabilities into circular strategies. Henrik brings a pragmatic, business-oriented perspective to teaching, combining strategic insight with real-world applicability for organizations navigating the transition to sustainable manufacturing.
